We've stay at the AP twice, in '96 & '97...Always in the spring...This year we're staying at the Royal Hideaway in November, so we're banking on some good weather.... It's a very moderate resort...The rooms are very spartan, but serviceable and clean...The food is OK...Breakfast is very good, lunch is fair and dinner is mediocre....Not to say we didn't do a lot of eating...You know how it is with buffets, you always find something you like...The Mexican restaurant was lots of fun with interesting food!...We didn't enjoy the Italian restaurant.... The grounds are very beautiful....The pools are nice...The first time we were there the beach was very good...But in '97 there was considerable erosion...I understand, however, that the beach is now fine...It is one of those places tho', where you have to get up early to stakeout a lounge chair...There were a lot of kids when we were there, it's a very family place... There's a show every nite, everything from lipsynching Broadway shows, to Mexican dancers and Las Vegas-type showgirls... All-in-all, for the price it's an OK place...And since we're spending all our money on the Royal Hideaway this year, we'll probably be back at AP next time.... If you have any other questions, feel free to e-mail me... LIZ
