: AFTER DOING MUCH READING ON ALL SITES WE DECIDED ON THE BARCELO MAYA!
: It was wonderful !!!!!! a old bus picked us up at the airport and I was wondering if I had made a good choice after all.....After seeing the resort I realized that I had.
: The room was bright and colorful our fridge was filled up each day..I called the front desk and told them we wanted diet drinks, water, and beer for my husband...and I got 8 soft drinks 3 waters, and 6 beers.
: restocked daily. hotel does not have ac anywhere but the rooms and the reservation restaurants....but the wind was blowing and it felt great! we had 2 robes in our room and mints on our pillows one night.
: The food was wonderful in the beach buffet! we had lomas travel schedule us a driver for 4 hours for 42.00 he stayed with us and was nice..pedro sosa we really only paid for 3 but both times we hired him he took us for 4 hours. we went to Yal ku lagoon it was a great snorkeling area ..then to the Tulem ruins (the beach there took our breath away!)
: we also did a reef tour and went to Playa Del Carmen.
: The resort is very large and it never seemed crowded ther was always something to do. painting ceramics, scuba lessons in the pool , dance lessons etc.
: We did have seafood on the buffet on Thusday night.
: The drinks were not so great but everthing else made up for that...This is a great place!
