i recently went to e.d.r(7/20-7/25),i must admit the trip was a complete let down.The majority of the people whom have been there have been greatly disappointed.The resort and funjet claim this place to be a 5 or a 6 star hotel.I have stayed in both 5 and 6 star hotels and this place DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE!I would guess this place is more like a 3.There is no beach where you can swim or even wade in.I was there when the vollyball court was put in(they flipped the dirt over and threw-up the net)they never bothered to get rid of the rocks,glass,and or the rebarb (when we left there was already 5 people injured,including a worker,because of the rocks ).The discotheque is a joke,2 rotatating lights and 4 speakers,the music is mostly distorted 70's music.We had the honeymoon casita room,which was supposed to be their nicest room.We only had cold and slightly orange looking water.The power went out multiple times throughout are stay,(this ment warm beer,no frozen drinks,no use of blenders and no a/c ).The sliding door fell off the tracks a couple of times and they don't lock.The pool has a area about 3x3 thats peeling off along with multiple rough spots.I didn't feel this place would have this many problems,espcially when my travel agent called funjet and el dorado royale resort direct and they both stated that the hotel was 100% up and running.I hate to be the bearer of bad news,but this place is not up to what they are promising people.If you choose not to believe me,then thats the choice you must make,but at least we tried to warn you.
