FYI>>>>i just returned from an amazing 4 days at the lovely el dorado...it was an early bday present from my boyfriend and definitely the best vacation of my life...i have been to cancun twice before and el dorado was better than sun palace, one of the 5 star resorts in cancun. el dorado definitely gives you more bang for your buck...as far as limited hot water...take a shower together...conserves water anyway. the staff is amazing and go out of there way to make your vacation relaxing and romantic...you will find hearts and swans made out of towels on your bed every afternoon...and the native flowers anoting the bathroom make a beautiful addition...my boyfriend and i are headed back there for christmas....
