Robinson Club...day 1

The alarm rings at 6:00 am..I thought I was on Vacation! Wake the boys at 6:30. They pop out of bed really fast for a 14 & 17 year old. They're excited. Everyone gets loaded and in the van at 8:15 for the 2.5 hour drive to San Antonio. Say goodbye to the pooch and Mom and we're off. When we arrive in San Antonio, I decided to check the parking prices at the Airport...$7 a day! WOW! We grab a burger at Applebees and head for Airport Security Parking...$5 a day! The plane is LATE arriving and we are late taking off. We arrive in Cancun 45 minutes late but, WE ARE HERE!!! We hop in our Olympus Tours van with another family and we're off to our resort. The other family was let off at the Gala Playacar and our driver goes into Playa...wrong move!...giant traffic jam! It takes another 20 minutes to get to the highway. Finally, We get to our resort at 8:00 pm. Check-in was a breeze and we dumped our stuff in the room and headed for the FOOD! The food is FANTASTIC! We don't know what we're eating but, it's GOOD. After supper, we wondered around in the dark. The beach is big and looks really nice...in the dark. Our room has pink marble floors and 2 queen beds. The boys have their own room! Yea!! Besides, there is no door to the bathroom. The toilet and shower have a door but, the rest is open. The beds are the usual Mexican hard beds. We didn't make it to te beach party tonight...we were too pooped...and it started to rain!
