I stayed at the Xaman Ha condos last fall. It was really quiet. If you like a lot of people around and having someone to serve you beer or whatever at the pool or in your room, don't stay there. We almost never saw anyone who worked here. It really felt more like an apartment building. I actually liked this. My husband and I stocked up on food and beer and spent some time on our terrace looking out at the sea. Of course, we also spent a lot of time in town. Also, these condos are really affordable. I would look up Condos Anes - Playa del Carmen on the internet. You'll find a website and a toll free number. We rented from a man named Tom Cotter. I cannot remember the name of the travel agency, but they offered a stay 7 nights, pay for 6 deal.
