only a phobia is supposed to be an irrational fear and I think my fear of spiders is perfectly rational. You don't often see anything in the rooms of a resort and probably quite unlikely at the Iberostar. In all my trips I only ever had 1 lizard in my room and it was very small - it didn't really bother me too much since I thought it would kill any spiders that might appear. You will see iguanas outside but they keep their distance - you are unlikely to get a surprise by almost stepping on one or anything like that...they would never let you get that close. So go and enjoy - my paranoia has not interfered with my PDC vacations. Just don't head into the jungle...now that's scary!!!

: I know this is a bit ridiculous, but I have a deathly phobia of lizards and frogs and most bugs. We are going to be at the Iberostar in August and was wondering if anyone who has been there in the past could give me some info. on the so called wildlife there. I have heard different things, like they have monkeys that hang out on your balcony to iguanas on the grounds. It sounds to me that if they have all that I'm sure you are bound to wind up with a lizard or two in your room. Someone please respond so I can prepare myself.
: Thanks.
