: We will be in Playa June 5-19. You are going to have a busy trip! We haven't been to Isla in 3 years. Would love to hear about it on your return. In Jan 1999 my wife & I spent 5 days in Punta Allen. Loved it. If you want to get away, this is the place. We stayed about 3 kilometers north of Punta Allen on the penninsula at Rancho Sol Caribe. Mike & his wife are the owners and take wonderful care of you. Stop by and say hello. Tell him the Parkers from Mississippi said hello. You'll love his laugh! Start early through the Sian Ka'an. If there is too much traffic going in they will not let you in unless you have reservations somewhere. The road is rough. But if you take your time it can be enjoyable but a bit bumpy. We saw every kind of vehicle that had made the trip and no one seemed to have a problem, even after a rain. Also, if you haven't tried it try Anna y Jose' just south of Tulum on the beach. They have a wonderful restaurant that is white tablecloth, screened with a sand floor. You can sip a drink in a quality setting while you work your bare feet into the cool sand. We loved it. Any imput on seahawk divers or coral divers? : : Any ideas of kid watchers while we dive? : : We then leave Isla and go inland to Merida 2 nights : : and to Uxmal 2 nights. We have been to Uxmal once before and found it very magical!!!! : : Can't wait to tell the boys the story of the dwarf! : : Any sights or places cheap to eat in the area of the ruins? : : Then back on 184? towards felipe carrillo puerto. : : Does any one know how long a drive to carrillo from Uxmal? : : Then a night, possibly in tulum area, in the A.M down the bumpy road : : to Punta Allen. We stay 5 days. Any one been there? : : Top it off with 4 days in Akumal (to Dive) : : And then back to Seattle ~ : : Any tips would be great!
