What we did to get our room is for one, we booked directly with the resort. I sent a fax and received basically an answer similar to yours -- NO guarantee. The same thing happened last year, but when we checked in we did receive building 20 (our preference). This year, as I mentioned in my report, we were originally told a building that I did not want, so, I stated that we had been offered a very special room, the desk clerk checked it out and we finally got what we had asked for. This in NO way is a guarantee, and I feel we were lucky... I tried to be nice about it, in both my faxes and when checking in. Just take along any correspondence you receive from them and hope and ask for the best.
