The resort is not new but I have toured the El Dorado 2 years ago and I thought it was very nice. Not as luxurious as the Iberostar (I stayed there last May and loved it) but I like the secluded location and beautiful beach. There is great snorkeling and the resort has many nice amenities. I will stay there for 3 nights in May.
Since there are so many nice resorts on the Riviera Maya I prefer to stay at many different places because every resort has a different feel. I like the combination of staying at a rustic resort away from it all for some nights and than enjoy a luxury resort and party down. This makes it also easier on the budget.
