Hi Amy, I have taken my family to the Iberostar (IB*) for two, one-week vacations over the last two summers. We will be returning for a third week this summer. Having not stayed at the others, I am no help on them, but the IB* is an almost magical place. Its a large resort, built right in the middle of a jungle - most of which was left. There are 4 pools ( one very large free form, an all adult that is below ground level with a waterfall, a sport pool and a kids pool). The food is outstanding the drinks are usually top shelf, the staff is fun and entertaining, there's a great disco on site, the entertainment is good - not cruise ship quality, but very good, and the rooms are beautiful with balconies and stocked fridges (liquids only). Theres a pretty good health club facility with tennis courts, weights, machines, treadmills, bikes, steppers, and complete wet area locker rooms. The beach is absolutely beautiful in all directions, but that's pretty much all of PDC. The IB* really leaves nothing to guess and you leave extremely spoiled. We usually get home and stare at each other for a week, trying to figure out how to cook again!. The resort is a 5 minute cab ride to PDC and a really easy 20 minute walk. If you have anymore questions, feel free to email me. Mark : This will be our first trip to Playa. We have deceided to go AI for the first trip, but now we need to pick a place to stay. The choices are the Iberostar, Riu Palace, Bahia Principe, or the Barcelo. Most important is which has the best beach? We are in our early 30's, but we don't want a loud spring break type place. Also curious about the weather at the end of March? We have been to Aruba 3 times and love it but we need to try something new. Any input would be appreciated. : Thanks : Amy
